For 2026, we will host a NEW AGENT workshop on Sunday. Monday - Wednesday will be our normal DU format. Starting Thursday, agents can join us on a Royal Caribbean cruise onboard the Ovation of the Seas for a 4 night cruise. This is optional and at your own expense. You are welcome to bring guests on the cruise.

Question: Can I attend just the New Agent Workshop? Answer: Yes, if you have been with the agency for less than 2 years you can attend just the New Agent workshop and kickoff party on Sunday. However, we highly recommend that you attend the entire event to get the most benefit. Question: What extra costs will I incur? Answer: Breakfast (if not staying at Desert Palms) and lunch are included daily. Snacks and drinks are also provided throughout the day when we are in the classroom. Some evenings will be on your own. Question: Do I have to stay at the Desert Palms and can I share a room with another agent? Answer: While staying at the event hotel is very convenient and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, it is not a requirement. If you would like to use rewards points or other discounted rates, there are many hotels that are a quick, safe walk from the event hotel. If you would like to find a roommate to help with costs, we can assist in connecting you with other agents. However, we do not guarantee that another agent will want to share.
Question: Do I have to attend the entire event or can I come for just part of it? Answer: Our training event is structured with a diverse lineup of presentations spread throughout the week, each offering unique insights and valuable knowledge. We have carefully curated these sessions with different expert presenters each day to cover a broad spectrum of topics. Given this format, the full benefit of the training is only realized through consistent attendance, as each day is designed to offer distinct and equally important learning opportunities. We aim to create an environment where each presenter receives the same level of engagement and attention from all participants. This not only respects the effort and time our speakers are investing but also maximizes the learning experience for our attendees. For these reasons, we are emphasizing the importance of full attendance for all participants. We recognize that this may pose a challenge for due to your family and other commitments, and we regret any inconvenience this may cause. Our goal is to ensure that every participant can fully engage with and benefit from the expertise shared by our guest speakers throughout the entire week.
Question: Are families welcome? Answer: Dugan's loves families! However, Dugan's U activities are for agents only. We highly recommend taking advantage of the full program and using the time to network with other agents. You are welcome to invite family members to join you on the cruise.
Question: Will there by a Five Star dinner at this event? Answer: Yes, we will be hosting a Five Star dinner at this event.
Question: What is the best way to get from the airport to the hotel? Answer: Ride sharing services, taxis and shuttles are available outside of baggage claim.
Question: What is the best airport to use? Answer: SNA is the closest to Anaheim, about 20 minutes away. LGB is about 25 minutes away. LAX is about 45 minutes away, but may offer the most options and best prices.
