Ecstatic Dance Visalia is excited to combine the substance-free, free-form dance, DJ-led musical journey of ecstatic dance with silent disco headphones, so we can dance & connect in more harmony with nature! You can expect a wide variety of music with a focus on tribal drums, didgeridoo, world beats, deep bass, as well as multiple genres from all over the world! Each dance will showcase a specially curated musical set designed to get you out of your busy mind & into your heart & body. Ecstatic Dance Visalia is an all-ages celebration of life where we dance together in our fullest expression to uplift ourselves & each other through music, nature, connection and dance! There is no "right" or "wrong" way to dance! Dance how you feel & BE YOURSELF!

We come together to DANCE in this space! Dancing without words allows us to drop out of our minds & into our hearts & bodies. With full, collective presence, we flow deeper into the expansive musical journey & the beautiful, healing energy of nature surrounding us.
We dance as we are.
We aim to create a safe, intentional space for everyone present, so please adhere to the following: NO Drugs or Alcohol. NO Phones. NO Cameras or Video. NO expectations. NO judgements. NO strong scents (light essential oils OK).
WE DANCE BAREFOOT.
Dancing barefoot allows us to connect more deeply with nature & ground our energy to the frequency of the earth. Grounding is healing. (Exceptions made for those with physical conditions that require shoes.)
WE LEAVE NO TRACE.
We respect the land & all beings in nature. We follow the rules set forth by Sequoia Riverlands Trust for Kaweah Oaks Preserve. We practice leave no trace by throwing all trash (including trash we find) in the appropriate receptacles & utilizing the nearby restrooms. We do our best to leave any negative energy outside the dance floor & intend to leave the space better than we found it. It is an amazing privilege to get to dance under one of the most majestic Valley Oak Trees in this area! Weekend parking in the provided lot can be very limited, so please carpool when possible. If lot is full, you will have to park on the side of the road. Please make sure to have your car fully off of the road & not blocking traffic in any way. We dance under the large Valley Oak Tree inside the Preserve that's just past the restrooms on the left-hand side. You can get to it by going through the first gate and walking down the road, or you can go through entrance gate and then take a left then right to take the The Haslinger Saenz Trail (formerly Buttonwillow Trail) (0.38 miles/0.61 km.); allow 20 minutes. Learn more about the trails at Kaweah Oaks HERE. Either way, make sure you arrive at the Oak Tree by 5:30pm for check in. BRING A WATER BOTTLE. We can't wait to see you there!

Each week, we'll need one or two volunteers to help check people in at the door & collect headphones after the dances. Volunteers dance FREE on the day they volunteer.
