Abstract
"Disability 101: Understanding Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), SSI and Veteran’s Disability Appeals " is a comprehensive program designed to provide an in-depth understanding of SSDI, SSI and VA disability. It aims to equip participants with knowledge on the application and appeals process, common conditions approved for SSDI and VA, effective patient communication, reasons for denials, and the significance of representation, while also highlighting the association of Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) with disability resources.”

1. Identify the importance of SSDI for patients, including the criteria that make eligibility likely and how it differs from Supplemental Security Income.
2. Recognize the process, benefits, and timeframes for SSDI, SSI and VA applications and appeals.
