Education Luncheon
Rethinking Credit Allocations: Building More Resilient Portfolios in Public Markets

CFA Society Hartford Education Luncheon
Max Downtown | October 22

Speakers:  John Ebeling & Michael Fontaine

As market regimes shift and correlations that once anchored fixed income diversification grow less predictable, allocators face a harder question: is a portfolio built for the last cycle equipped for this one? Heightened geopolitical uncertainty and volatility have exposed a gap in how many investors think about public credit, often anchored to spread levels while overlooking a broader opportunity set that hasn't been "priced to perfection."

Join the Artisan Credit and EMsights teams for a candid discussion on idiosyncratic strategies across primarily U.S. public below investment grade credit and global debt, designed to deliver low correlation and compelling risk-adjusted returns relative to broad market indices.

Who Should Attend
This program is designed for investment professionals responsible for portfolio construction and risk management, including:

- Portfolio managers and analysts overseeing fixed income or multi-asset allocations
- Institutional allocators evaluating diversification beyond traditional bond exposures
- Wealth managers and advisors building resilient client portfolios amid market uncertainty
- CFA charterholders and candidates seeking continuing education credit on current credit market dynamics

Why It Matters
Traditional diversification assumptions are being tested. This session offers practical insight into where idiosyncratic, less correlated opportunities may exist across public credit and global debt markets, equipping attendees to reassess allocation strategy with a sharper, more resilient framework for the cycle ahead.
