Emerging leaders
National Farmers Union invites emerging agricultural leaders (ages 18 to 25) to attend the 2023 Fall Legislative Fly-In from September 11-13 in Washington, DC! Attendees will learn about NFU, attend Congressional visits with NFU members, network with agricultural professionals, and explore the city.
Every September, Farmers Union members from across the country gather in Washington, DC for the Fall Legislative Fly-In! Attendees hear from U.S. Department of Agriculture officials, Biden Administration officials, and key Congressional leaders. Attendees will also meet with legislators from their home state to highlight their priorities, challenges they are facing, and goals for future legislation, especially the Farm Bill.
Emerging Leaders will learn about NFU in a small group of like minded peers and network with members from across the country. Participants will attend Fly-In events, with an added training focused on building leadership skills. Registrants should have an expressed interest in contributing to the NFU mission and be available to be in Washington, DC September 11 through 13. This event is free to attend, and one scholarship will be awarded for expenses of travel and lodging. Registrations are due Friday, August 4 at 11:59pm EST.
