Hi, my name is Lily Havel, a senior at Republic County High School, and I’m deeply passionate about addressing the rising concern of violence against women. For my senior project, I aim to make a meaningful impact by educating and empowering young women.
Throughout this course, females, grades 9-12 will acquire essential skills that focus on two critical aspects: basic tactical self-defense and heightened situational awareness. These skills are crucial as they can equip young women with tools and knowledge to protect themselves and navigate potentially risky situations confidently.
The course will be taught by Police Chief Chris Springer. Chief Springer has 30 years of experience in law enforcement and has been trained in edge weapon defense, baton, OC spray, taser, firearms, as well as building and personal security.
Join us on this empowering journey to build a safer community and enable young women to feel confident and secure in their everyday lives. Click the link below to register for a time slot, spaces are limited! (Each class will focus on the same topics, please register for only 1 time slot)
*Classes are currently only available for females in grades 9-12*
