Encompass Equality
Member peer roundtable lunch

Tuesday 19 May 2026, 12-2 PM
CMI, 77 Kingsway, London, WC2B 6SR
Joy Burnford and the Encompass Equality team would like to invite you to our next member peer roundtable lunch on Tuesday 19 May 2026, kindly hosted by the Chartered Management Institute.

We’re delighted to be joined by Pru Shelton, Head of Research at CMI, who will share insights from their new “Grounded Leaders” research – Investigating the Barriers to First-Line Management for Young Women in the UK.

The research explores the structural, cultural and behavioural factors that constitute the "broken rung" for young women in the UK, and aims to develop a robust, evidence-based framework of solutions for employers and policymakers. During the lunch, we will discuss the central question of the research: what stops young women from becoming managers, and how do we fix it?

This lunch is designed for HR and inclusion professionals from our member organisations, offering an opportunity to share best practice, make meaningful connections, ask questions, and learn from each other’s experiences.

We do hope you can join us! As this is an invitation-only member lunch and is limited in spaces, please do RSVP now.

Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions.
