Course Description
Bariatric endoscopy with endoluminal therapies is a rapidly evolving field. Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) has gained significant momentum following the publication of Level 1 evidence from the MERIT trial, subsequent FDA approval, and the expanding role of revision procedures such as REVISE interventions, including Transoral Outlet Reduction (TORe) and sleeve gastrectomy revision. Despite these advances, there remains a critical need for structured, high-quality training to ensure safe adoption and optimal outcomes.

To address this gap, the Orlando Health Bariatric team, in collaboration with the BioSkills Laboratory, has developed an innovative and comprehensive educational program built on two foundational pillars:

  1. Expert Faculty with Real-World Experience
An outstanding, internationally recognized faculty with extensive hands-on experience in bariatric endoscopy. Faculty members deliver evidence-based lectures and interactive discussions grounded in real clinical practice, innovation, and firsthand involvement in the development of the field.
  2. Advanced Endoscopic Suturing Boot Camp
A highly focused, hands-on ESG suturing boot camp led by some of the most skilled and experienced ESG practitioners worldwide. This component emphasizes one-on-one mentoring, deliberate practice, and technical mastery in a controlled, high-fidelity training environment.
Together, these pillars are designed to provide participants with an immersive, high-value educational experience that integrates scientific rigor, technical excellence, and practical clinical insight, ultimately advancing both individual expertise and the field of bariatric endoscopy as a whole

Deepening Proficiency Across All Four Core Topics

Building on the morning's first exposure, the afternoon session is dedicated to deliberate practice and skill consolidation. Attendees revisit all four topics with a focus on technique refinement, self-correction, and one-on-one mentorship from faculty.

Lab Topics

• Basis of Endoscopic Suturing — refining needle control, bite depth, and suture tension

• APC as an Accessory to Endoscopic Suturing — optimizing energy settings and integration timing

• Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) — completing full suture patterns with faculty critique

• EndoSuturing Troubleshooting — simulated challenge scenarios and live problem-solving
