Be an adaptation leader in Atlantic Canada. This workshop series will take place online to accomodate busy schedules.
Facilitated by AIM Network and climate-equity expert Elissama Menezes, these workshops help municipal staff build practical, equity-informed climate adaptation and infrastructure plans. Participants will learn why focusing on vulnerable groups strengthens whole-community resilience, reduces pushback on difficult decisions, and can unlock up to 15% additional Federal Funding for adaptation work.

Participants will leave with:
  • A clear understanding of how equity shapes climate risk, engagement, and service delivery
  • Be able to identify vulnerable groups and initial strategies to support them
  • Templates, case studies, and tools to apply equity principles to real municipal policies, plans, and capital projects
  • A draft Climate Equity Roadmap and Action Plan aligned with FCM requirements
  • Access to follow-up one-on-one support to advance their deliverables

Who Should Attend
Municipal staff involved in planning, asset management, public works, community development, or climate adaptation, along with elected officials or teams looking to strengthen people-focused resilience planning. Suitable for both beginners and those ready for deeper, action-oriented work.
