Jason missed a family event that his girlfriend, Christine, expected him to be at. The conversation which ensues as a result of his no-show eventually unpacks the real reasons for his absence and calls into question their relationship.

A brief glance into what initially appears to be a regular afternoon with Jason and Christine, this unfolds as a story about falling out of love with one's self. It explores the difficulties young black men have opening up and the importance of knowing that we are loved even when we don't love ourselves.

Even in dark moments where we feel like running away from everything and everyone; there is reason to stay and know that there is hope for us yet.
