SYNOPSIS
For Harry “Black Panther” Wills, the “Colored Heavyweight Championship” was not enough. Wills wanted a shot at the “Heavyweight Championship of the World," and for that, he’d have to defeat Jack Dempsey. But in 1920s, Wills was a victim of the “color line,” drawn by the white heavyweight champions of his era. Fast forward 35 years. Wills is living in Harlem. He is old and lonely, sipping his morning coffee with the demons that haunt him from his past. He talks to them, blames them, and invites their spirits to materialize from old dusty posters hung on the wall of his dilapidated gym, wanting just one more shot at the "World Heavyweight Championship." One morning two men enter his gym, and their lives are changed forever.
