Roy Moye III
Roy Moye III is an awe-inspiring aerospace engineer, electrifying singer, and the visionary behind STEMusic LLC. With boundless passion, he fuels the fire of STEM in the hearts of the next generation. Roy's aviation obsession ignited his journey into the captivating realm of STEM, propelling him to conquer Project Lead the Way courses. At Wichita State University, he earned a Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering, fueled by an insatiable thirst for knowledge. From designing airplane parts for the Boeing 777 Program to empowering multicultural STEM professionals through talent acquisition, Roy's professional prowess knows no bounds. As an acclaimed singer, he belted out national anthems for renowned sports teams, shared the stage with rapper Common, and soared to the top 20 of BET's "Sunday Best." Roy's Grammy-nominated children's album with "1 Tribe Collective," "All One Tribe," reverberates with sheer brilliance. Through STEMusic LLC, Roy masterfully weaves music with STEM education, igniting the minds of young learners and ensuring a vibrant future for generations to come.
Born a city-boy it is the Kansas landscape and the working people that inspires Aaron's music. Farmer, teacher, nurse, factory worker, urban and rural families are the ones who make this State great.
Aaron grew up in Topeka and graduated from Friends University. He has his Masters in Music Education (Conducting) and taught in Wichita KS for 11 years. He began touring as a full-time musician in 1995. In addition to his touring schedule, he started and served as the founding Director of Hope Street Youth Development, an inner-city Leadership Development program for middle and high school students from 1990-2009. Aaron returned to full time music in 2009 and began Sing It Out, INC. a not for profit that seeks to educate, inspire and celebrate heritage and culture in disadvantaged and rural communities through the power of music and the arts.
Aaron is a member of the Kansas Arts on Tour Roster with the Kansas Creative Arts Commission and a Credentialed Teaching Arts with Young Audiences in New York. He is a Master Teaching Artist with Wolf Trap Early Learning through the Arts in Vienna, Virginia and is a Wolf Trap Teaching Artist with Kansas Wolf Trap and a founding Artist with Arts Partners Aaron is a proud Union member of AFM Local 1000 where he serves as the President.
