We answer the call of the land — and invite you into a weekend of communion with our Earthbody. You are invited to notice the call within you, to remember the knowing in your cells that you belong to our Earthbody.

We answer the call of Inanna, goddess of love, eros, radical change — and invite you into a lineage of divine erotic care. Through communal song and sound, we will awaken the mytho-poetic erotic landscapes of our inner worlds and dreams. Together, we will explore dream water practices to help us attune to the subtle realities of the more-than-human realms.

Feel the Earth Kissing Back is a retreat devoted to exploring pleasure — simple and profound. We invite you to resist the temptations of linear time and bask in the sense of time that your body knows. Rest in your Earthbody wisdom, and open your senses to the healing power of pleasure that pulses in us all.

Our Earthbody holds us in a vast web of interconnection with all that lives and dies. We honor pleasure by holding space for grief. We honor the intricately woven union of joy and sorrow; the knowing of our Earthbody to transmute grief into nectar.

During our time together, you are welcome to participate in communal, mindful erotic practices — this is an opportunity to explore solo erotic play and self-touch while being held by the presence of community and land.

Your no will always be celebrated. Together, we practice consent with each other and the more-than-human beings.

This retreat is for the curious, the tender, the playful, and the brave.

For forest mystics, eco-sexuals, nature lovers, and anyone who wants to explore a deeper, more alive relationship with their body and the land. Not extractive or exploitative but attuned and reciprocal.

This retreat offers practices cultivated with care for people who have lived through sexual harm. We offer trauma-informed structure to practice choice-centered community building.

This is a trans, queer, and AFAB space. We welcome all bodies and center the needs of trans, queer, and AFAB folks. Cis men are invited to apply and will undergo a vetting process. (21+ only.)

We are offering two retreats this year: July 10-13 and September 4-7, 2026.

Space is limited to 15 participants

What is Communal Erotic Practice?

Communal Erotic Practice (CEP) is a solo practice in a community container.

An invitation to explore your connection with erotic energy.
We honor erotic energy as life force energy, a resource for healing, embodiment and interconnection with all beings. This universal energy moves through all that lives and all that dies. By being with our individual connection to eros in a community container, we may rub up against and dissolve shame. This is a space where joy is welcome, but not necessary. Honoring Eros and giving ourselves permission to tap into the life force moving through our Earthbody may stir a wide range of emotions. Grief, ecstasy, passion, confusion, clarity, numbness and more are all welcome here. We honor Eros by welcoming all that arises. All of You is welcome here.

The four pillars of CEP
Breath, touch, sound and movement. You are invited to follow your curiosity, notice your breath, feel sensations, lean into what touch feels even better, listen to your edges, move with your body wisdom and play.

This practice begins with creating your own cozy nest and setting an intention for your practice. There is an invitation to share your intention with the group and get a sense of resource or edge to deepen the weave of our collective experience. As always, the choosing is more important than the doing. A playlist holds the time container and you are invited to explore your own body, sensations, feelings and eroticism in the company of others doing the same. There is no partner touch or elongated staring in this practice. By bringing in flowers and fruit we invite communion with nature and an exploration of your inner pollinator. Notice what comes up and revisit your intention like an anchor. There will be a silent track which signals savoring, simply noticing what has transpired in your body and being during this practice. A song brings us back into our collective and there will be a communal poetic harvest.

About the Land:

Located on the traditional and unceded territories of the Coast Salish and Upper Skagit people; Sunray Shire is a whimsical real-life fairyland. Dreamed up and built by artist Sunray Kelly, the Shire’s architecture is a playful embark from the ordinary. All dwellings, held by the mountain in a lush cedar rainforest were designed in communion with Nature. Each structure was envisioned as a temple for an element or forest spirit. Guests can enjoy the wood-fired sauna, cold plunge diving pools, outdoor kitchen, and showers.

The Shire is located on 9 acres of rugged land. Some spaces like the cabins, and wood-fired sauna require a walk down an earthen trail that is about 100 yards from the communal garden house. The Ring of Cedars where our daily practice will be held is accessed via stairs. If you would like to learn more about the Shire and see pictures click the link below.

Feel the Earth Kissing back was a luscious and playful experience that sang to the depths of my soul. To commune with nature with other earthly beings in such an intimate way will forever be carried in the memory of my flesh- a remembrance that I've long desired. Celebrating aliveness and pleasure in our earthly bodies is the medicine that will sustain me/us in resisting the violence of empire. This weekend was a timely and transformative gift!

Jess L - June 2025

This ritual was a beautiful experience in stepping into my pleasure authenticity while being held in a safe community circle. I recommend for anyone who is curious about plants, erotic ecology, and queer ritual spaces.

Participant June 2025

Even weeks later, my relationship with the more than human world is sweeter, deeper, and more integrated into my day-to-day thanks to the rituals and community learnings of this retreat!

Carly - June 2025
Greta and Isa held an exquisite container that was so spacious, thoughtful, playful, present, emergent, and wise. Being in a choice-based queer-and-trans-led space made me feel at home and trusting enough to be vulnerable with the group, and I experienced sweet and gentle somatic opening in my body in relation with the wild world.

Carey - June 2025
So many highlights: the intentional space, clear agreements, the sacred land, thoughtful practices, stellar facilitation, gorgeous food and flowers, sharing meals and songs together, hiking to the waterfall, saying yes, saying no, opening to pleasure and possibilities, and practicing new ways to be in relationship with the world around me.

Katie - August 2025

The facilitation was grounded and comforting, and I felt a lot of trust in those around me throughout the experience, which was essential. I appreciate Greta and Isa so much for their simultaneous intentionality and lightness when it came to leading the experience. Everything felt well-led but also flexible. I also felt very comfortable with the rest of the group and am grateful that so many of the attendees were experienced/teachers in somatics and sexuality. ALSO WOW THE PLACE WAS GORGEOUS! My room was also so lovely
