Come with your Family and friends to enjoy a delicious typical Brazilian dish and support the beautiful work of Kardec Spiritist Society of Houston, a non-profit organization.

FEIJOADA is a popular dish in Brazil that is typically made with black beans and various cuts of pork and beef, such as bacon, sausage, smoked and salted meats. Its history can be traced back to the era of Portuguese colonialism in Brazil.

In the early 19th century, feijoada became a symbol of Brazilian identity, as it was seen as a dish that represented the country's mixed heritage of Portuguese, African, and indigenous cultures.

Today, feijoada continues to be the most popular dish served throughout Brazil,
particularly on Saturdays. It is typically served with rice, farofa (toasted cassava flour), shaved collard green sauté, and orange slices to help cut the richness of the stew.
