Resident L&SD sound engineer, cassette archivist, and co-founder of the "Present Sounds" series, are just a few of the roles fieldtalk (aka Vincent Brunetto) plays at the studio. The mysterious fieldtalk is usually found behind the scenes obsessively mastering, balancing, equalizing, recording, compiling, and mixing the tens of thousands of hours of studio sounds and events that we have hosted. A set from fieldtalk is a sonic odyssey that is driven by field recordings, complex textured layering, rare vinyls, vintage hardware, and cassettes that will transport the listener far away from themselves. Don't bother looking on social media for this one. This is a set that requires you to be Present.
"Present Sounds" is your weekly deep listening escape, hosted in a private loft in Greenpoint. It boasts a vintage 4-point Klipschorn sound system and cozy seating arrangements, ensuring an intimate and immersive musical experience.
