fieldtalk and Broken Toys will Present Sounds

Broken Toys are Alice Cohen and Stephanie Wuertz, a collaborative shadow puppet duo formed in 2024. Their playful, improvisatory performances incorporate handmade puppets alongside a cast of other curious inanimate objects using handheld light to produce a series of transformations and illusions.
On October 30th, in anticipation of the ancient festival of Samhain when the veil thins between the worlds of the living and the dead, they will perform The Cult of The Dead Object
This will be the third time fieldtalk and Broken Toys have worked together at L&SD
"Present Sounds" is your weekly deep listening escape, hosted in a private loft in Greenpoint. It boasts a vintage 4-point Klipschorn sound system and cozy seating arrangements, ensuring an intimate and immersive musical experience. The exact location will be shared with ticket holders in the confirmation email. Every Thursday from 7-11pm.
