“When you learn to listen to Fire, you awaken the voice of truth within. What is ready to be released will rise in smoke — and what is ready to live will burn bright.”

María Quetzal, Sacred Paths

Sacred Waters of the Bacalar Lagoon, Mexico

A sacred immersion into the wisdom and medicine of Fire. Step into an ancient path of consciousness, purification, and ceremony. In this elemental initiation, you will be guided to awaken your relationship with Fire as a living, teaching spirit — in service to peace, clarity, and light.

The Experience

DAY 1 – Arrival & Opening (Friday, November 21)
We welcome you to the sacred shores of Bacalar. As the sun sets, we arrive at Cayuco Maya and begin grounding into the land. Together we will open our circle with intention setting, ancestral invocation, and the creation of a sacred container for the journey ahead. After the ceremony, we’ll share a nourishing dinner and gather under the stars for rest, journaling, and quiet integration.

DAY 2 – Water Exploration & Fire Initiation (Saturday, November 22)
Morning: We begin with movement and a morning fire class to awaken body and spirit, followed by a guided water exploration in Bacalar’s crystalline lagoon. Immersed in the vortex waters, we’ll harmonize our energies with the codes of the water element in preparation for the fire teachings.
Afternoon & Evening: After lunch, we enter into the sacred fire teachings—lighting the copalera, receiving instruction, and preparing the ceremonial space. As night falls, we gather in ritual attire to receive the Sacred Fire Transmission, a lineage initiation honoring the ancestral fire of María Quetzal.

DAY 3 – Integration & Closing (Sunday, November 23)
Our final morning is dedicated to grounding and integration. We gather in ritual circle to weave reflections, blessings, and community sharing before closing the container. Together, we anchor the fire’s wisdom into our daily lives before departing.
THE FIRE INITIATION UNFOLDS
In this initiation, you will receive ancient elemental teachings and ceremonial tools that will support your spiritual path and your service to others. Through deep presence and sacred fire, you will learn to walk as a guardian of clarity, purification, and light.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

  • The Conscious Use of the Copalera
Discover how to work with the copalera as a sacred vessel for prayer, healing, and energetic alignment. Learn to use its smoke to bring clarity and illuminate patterns in need of transformation.
  • Energetic Cleansing with Fire & Smoke
Explore techniques for purifying homes, people, and ceremonial spaces using sacred fire and plant smoke — restoring harmony and balance in the energy field.
  • The Sacred Geometry of Fire
Enter into the symbolic language of fire. Learn about elemental codes and ancient geometries that awaken ancestral memory and inner knowing.
  • Fire as Teacher and Portal
Experience fire not just as an element, but as a living teacher and ceremonial ally — a bridge to spirit, transformation, and witnessing truth.
  • Calling in Fire with Reverence
Understand the ethical and spiritual responsibilities of invoking fire. Learn protocols to ensure your relationship with this element is rooted in alignment, respect, and humility.
  • Tending to Your Sahumerio
Learn how to prepare, care for, and work with your sahumerio. Use sacred herbs and plant medicines to keep it alive, spiritually attuned, and grounded in your personal practice
