Meet Kyria Sabin

Fletcher Pilates® Director

Kyria Sabin directs Fletcher Pilates International and its affiliated educational pathway, the Fletcher Pilates Comprehensive Program of Study. A graduate of Duke University and a licensed massage therapist, Kyria began her studies with Ron Fletcher in 1991, entering the lineage through direct, long-term mentorship. In 1993, she founded Body Works Pilates Studios in Tucson, Arizona, establishing a dedicated space for the study and practice of the Fletcher approach to the Pilates method.

Over more than three decades, Kyria has played a central role in preserving, articulating, and advancing the Fletcher Pilates® method. Recognized by Ron Fletcher as a Master Teacher and Disseminator, she was entrusted with carrying forward the work with integrity, clarity, and respect for its origins. Her teaching reflects a deep understanding of movement, breath, and expressive precision, informed by years of study alongside Ron and continued engagement with the broader Pilates community.

Kyria developed the Pilates Program at the University of Arizona, where she continues to serve as Adjunct Faculty, integrating Pilates into an academic and performance-based environment. As an international presenter, she has taught and lectured worldwide, contributing to professional education and continued dialogue within the field.

Her service extends beyond teaching. Kyria has held leadership roles on the national boards of the Pilates Method Alliance and the National Pilates Certification Program, and has served on advisory boards for the University of Arizona School of Dance and the Foundation for Expanding Horizons. Through her teaching, mentorship, and leadership, Kyria continues to shape the future of Fletcher Pilates® while honoring the lineage from which it comes.
Meet Diane Severino

Diane Severino – Master Fletcher Pilates® Teacher and Legacy Educator

Diane stands as a distinguished figure in the Pilates world, renowned
for her extensive contributions to the Fletcher Pilates® method.
A Juilliard alumni and former student of modern dance pioneer
Martha Graham, Diane seamlessly blended her profound dance background with the principles of Pilates, creating a unique and
expressive approach to movement.

In 1973, Diane's journey with Pilates commenced when she met Ron Fletcher, a first-generation Pilates teacher and innovator of the Fletcher Pilates® technique. Recognizing her exceptional talent and alignment with his vision, Ron invited Diane to join his Beverly Hills studio. There, she became not only his protégé but also his demonstrator and studio manager, playing a crucial role in the evolution and dissemination of his work.

Beyond her studio work, Diane has been a passionate educator, sharing her knowledge through workshops, online courses, and performances. Her "Day with Diane" workshop, available through Fletcher Pilates Online, offers insight into her teaching philosophy and the depth of her expertise. Even into her seventies, Diane exemplified the vitality and strength that Pilates can offer, practicing advanced matwork regularly and inspiring countless students with her dedication and grace.

Diane Severino's legacy is one of passion, innovation, and
unwavering commitment to the art of movement. Her influence continues to resonate within the Pilates community, inspiring new generations
of practitioners and teachers to explore the transformative power
of the Fletcher Pilates® method.
