He specializes in Commodity Markets, Technical Analysis, Behavioural Finance, Risk Management, and Performance Enhancement. As a Chartered Market Technician (C.M.T.) and former Board member of the Chartered Market Technicians Association, James has appeared on Bloomberg television, sharing insights on market risks and trends. As Head of Learning and Development at Onyx, James crafts and delivers tailored courses covering commodity markets, technical analysis, strategic trading, and risk management. His clients have included, Abrdn, Barclays, Citibank, Credit Suisse, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JP Morgan, BP, Nomura, ArcelorMittal, Noble Group, and Manulife AM.

From elite football and Olympic disciplines to Tour-level tennis, cycling, and an eight-season tenure in Formula 1, Chris has honed his skills in resilience, emotional management, and decision-making. Transitioning his knowledge to the corporate world, he has delivered human performance programs for top-tier organizations, including Goldman Sachs, UBS, and Samsung. As Onyx’s Performance Director, Chris collaborates with traders and leadership to optimize operations, foster continuous improvement, and equip teams to thrive under pressure. Outside work, he enjoys golf and staying active with his young children.
