Fly Fishing Film Tour 2024
Join us on September 21
The Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) is pleased to be hosting the Fly Fishing Film Tour 2024. GCRL's Center for Fisheries Research and Development (CFRD) has collaborated on the Costa Marlin Fly Project which will be featured in the 18th annual Fly Fishing Film Tour. The tour consists of 300+ showings in 14 countries throughout 2024.
The project, which took place in Southwestern Baja, Mexico, December 2022, stands as the ultimate culmination of community and conservation. Led by Costa, it brought together Costa Pros, leading billfish scientists, conservation organizations, and community partners to pursue this mission in tandem with local captains, guides, and the San Carlos community.
Featuring Jeremy Higgs, CFRD Assistant Director, GCRL is proud to be able to showcase the wonderful work done by him and the others involved in the project.
Doors will open at 2:00pm, come early to find out more about the research being done by CFRD and GCRL in our community. There will be a silent auction and door prizes as well as refreshments for sale prior to showtime. The film will be shown at 3:00 pm.
This is a FREE event, however due to the capacity of our auditorium, you will need to REGISTER to reserve your seat.
