A Note From Our President
Welcome to the Friends of the Creche event page.  On this site you will find all the information you will need to register for upcoming annual meetings and biennial conventions.

The first order of business is our annual meeting, which will be held at Epworth By The Sea in St. Simons Island, Georgia, Friday November 11 through Sunday, November 13. This will be our first in-person meeting in nearly three years. It is hard to believe that our last gathering was in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2019. We missed having time together in Rhode Island 2020 and Portland in 2021.

Board member Carol Williams is the chair for this year's annual meeting, and she has put together an amazing program which I'm sure you will all enjoy. Make your reservations by clicking on the "Register Now" tab on this site. The tabs at the top of the page will lead you to all the information you need about the weekend at this historic venue. Space at Epworth is limited to 75 rooms, so make your reservation as soon as possible. Rooms must be reserved by August 1, 2022. After that date you may still register for the meeting until November 1, but you will have to arrange for your own lodging.

It's also not too early to begin planning for our biennial meeting to be held in Washington, D.C. on December 6-9, 2023. Save the date!

See you in Georgia!!

Annual Meeting General Information

Campus: The grounds are charming and all the facilities are within walking distance. You definitely do not need a car at Epworth. Turner Lodge is located on the water farthest from the Museum, Admin Building and Auditorium (where most of the meeting and activities will take place) and is approximately a four-minute walk. Ample parking is available at each of the buildings. For those with cars, it is probably easiest to park and leave your car in the parking lot closest to your building. Anyone with limited mobility should consider the Pitts building since it is the most centrally located.

Accommodations: Most of the buildings are under renovation and the completed rooms are very nice. We have been given rooms in 3 different buildings: Pitts Motel, Robertson Inn and Turner Lodge. They are all similar in layout. Pitts Motel rooms are the closest to the cafeteria, meeting rooms, and museum. Rooms in Turner Lodge are the largest and they have a balcony overlooking the river. Robertson Inn rooms are larger than Pitts but do not have a view. All three are equipped with elevators and handicapped accessible rooms are available. Room choice will be on a first come, first served basis. Rates are based on the number of adults staying in the room together. The price includes taxes, 2 nights lodging and 6 meals. When you make your room selection, you will have the opportunity to add a third or fourth person to your double occupancy room.

Registration Deadline: Rooms must be reserved by August 1, 2022. You may still register for the conference up until November 1, 2022 but you will responsible for your own accommodations.

Dining: The Blasingame Dining Room, used for most meals, is located in the Admin Building directly across from the Pitts Building. Meals are served cafeteria style.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations prior to August 1st will receive a full refund of all monies paid. Cancellations after August 1, 2022 will only receive a refund for their General Admission tickets.

Important Note When Registering: On the checkout page, please select the number of people you are registering for. When selecting a room option, you are selecting the number of rooms you want. For example, if I am attending with my spouse, I will select "2" registrations. When I make my room selection, I will choose "1" double occupancy. All listed rates include 2 nights lodging, and 6 meals per person.
