P.S. Kitchen
Located in the heart of New York City’s Theater District, P.S. Kitchen is a one-of-a-kind plant-based restaurant that blends exceptional cuisine with meaningful impact. Known for its elevated vegan menu inspired by global flavors and French culinary technique, the restaurant offers a warm, inviting dining experience that appeals to both plant-based and traditional diners alike.

What sets P.S. Kitchen apart is its mission-driven model: as a social enterprise, it donates 100% of its profits to charitable partners working to address poverty, injustice, and systemic barriers both locally and globally. In addition, the restaurant actively creates employment opportunities for individuals from marginalized communities, making every meal part of a larger story of restoration and opportunity.

By pairing thoughtfully crafted food with a deep commitment to generosity and justice, P.S. Kitchen offers more than a dining experience—it creates a space where hospitality, purpose, and community come together.
MONKWORX
Monkworx is a New York City–based nonprofit dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity through direct, compassionate outreach. Founded in 2019, the organization operates with a mission to address both food and shelter insecurity by meeting immediate needs while fostering pathways toward stability.

Through initiatives like mobile food distribution, bed stabilization programs, and emergency support services, Monkworx meets people where they are—offering not only meals, but care, connection, and practical resources. Their work is grounded in a commitment to treat every individual with dignity and respect, creating a community-centered model of service that prioritizes relationship, consistency, and trust.

By combining responsive outreach with long-term support, Monkworx plays a vital role in addressing hunger and homelessness across New York City, bringing hope and stability to some of the city’s most vulnerable neighbors.
Zaab Zaab
Zaab Zaab is a Williamsburg, Brooklyn restaurant specializing in Isaan cuisine — the bold, deeply spiced food of Northern Thailand. Owned by Bryan Chunton and Pei Wei, Zaab Zaab has earned wide recognition for the authenticity and craft of its kitchen, including back-to-back Michelin Bib Gourmand awards and a James Beard Outstanding Restaurateur nomination.

As a longtime Rethink Food partner, Zaab Zaab has prepared hundreds of thousand of meals for people experiencing food insecurity across New York City. Rather than producing a separate institutional menu, Bryan and Pei Wei adapt their own dishes — swapping proteins for broader accessibility and adjusting spice levels— so every meal sent out reflects the same care and intention as what's served in their dining room. Those meals leave the kitchen each morning and arrive at community-based organizations across the city.

Zaab Zaab's partnership with Rethink grew out of the pandemic, when the restaurant sustained itself by cooking for neighbors in need — and has been part of their operation ever since. Their work demonstrates that culinary excellence and community responsibility are one and the same.
Brain Food
Brain Food is a Brooklyn-based restaurant committed to making clean, nutritious eating accessible to all — regardless of income or background. Founded by Ali Ahmed in Downtown Brooklyn, the restaurant offers fresh, organic meals across a wide range of dietary needs, with a core belief that healthy food should not be a privilege.

Through their partnership with Rethink Food, Brain Food prepares hundreds of meals each week for New Yorkers facing food insecurity — work that began in the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic and has continued since. Beyond their Rethink partnership, they run a weekly meal assistance program every Wednesday for neighbors experiencing homelessness and were among the first restaurants in New York City to accept EBT cards for hot food, lowering barriers for SNAP recipients to access a nutritious, restaurant-quality meal.

Brain Food's approach is rooted in the belief that a neighborhood restaurant can be more than a place to eat — it can be a source of stability and care. Their work with Rethink and the broader community reflects a commitment to meeting people where they are, with meals that are both nourishing and accessible.
