The German's are coming back.... Watch this space for more information on German Auto Day 2023 and Volkswagen registration.
All other marques (Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, etc.) are responsible for their own registration, please head to their websites or Facebook pages for more information.
German Auto Day, or GAD as it's more commonly known, is a one day show and shine event held each year in the Canberra regions and is a collaboration event organised by local German branded marques. German marques include (but are not limited to): BMW, Mercedes Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen.
This is a public event open to all from 10am until 1pm Sunday, 24 September 2023.
Everyone is invited to come and stroll through the canopy of trees while admiring some of the best German engineered cars of the recent years and have a bite to eat at one of our food vendors. You could even bring a picnic lunch to enjoy the sunshine.

VW Participant Registration
THIS REGISTRATION PAGE IS FOR VOLKSWAGEN ONLY. All other marques should contact their local club to complete their registration process.
Anyone wishing to enter their Volkswagen into the show and shine is required to complete the registration form.
Event entry fees for each vehicle entered, are;
- $10 Club VeeDub Members (must have your current membership on hand to register)
- $15 for non members
Note: there is a small transaction fee associated to all credit card transactions.
Anyone wishing to join Club VeeDub is encouraged to do so at our parent club site www.clubvw.org.au
Online registrations will close at 10PM Saturday 23 September 2023. Anyone wishing to register after this time will have to do so on the day.
Please note: any owners of displayed vehicles that have not been registered / paid entry will be asked to remove their vehicles from the display area.

Day of event
On the day of GAD, entrants can start arriving on site from 8:30am and to be in place before 10am on Sunday, 24 September 2023. We suggest getting in early to avoid access chaos.
Entry to the venue for ALL GAD vehicles is from Lowe Street, Queanbeyan. Vehicles will proceed down Lowe Street and turn left on to Campbell Street.
Please be advised there is no entry onto Campbell Street (except for residents) from Canberra Avenue to reduce traffic gridlock.
Queanbeyan City Council has requested that all vehicles use a drip tray on the day.
Food and drink will be available on site during the day, additionally, there are a number of options near by on Canberra Avenue.
There are also rest room facilities on site. One near the children's playground next to the oval pavilion and the other is on Lowe Street toward the police station.
Weather
What happens if the weather is bad? We'll make that call closer to the day.
Parking
Persons with a disability or entrants with trailers
There will be limited onsite parking for parking for persons with a disability and trailers. Please enter through the main venue entry and advise the traffic control officer of your requirements.
General Public Parking
There is some limited on street parking around the venue, alternatively there is parking off Lowe and Crawford Streets or along the surrounding local streets. If you are parking in one of the local streets, please ensure you park in a considerate way to allow residents access to and from their homes.
COVID Safe
If you are feeling unwell, please stay home!
