The 2025 Annual Dinner
Join us on April 16
Goodman Institute for Public Policy Research will host its Annual Goodman Institute Dinner at Hilton Lincoln Centre Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. It will bring like-minded people together, local and national political and community leaders, for a memorable evening dedicated to the institute's initiative's public policy agenda.

The Goodman Institute will honor US Senator for Texas, Ted Cruz, with the 2025 Sir Antony Fisher Award. This evening will begin with a Meet and Greet Reception, dinner, and an award presentation.

Goodman Institute was founded by Dr. John C. Goodman and some of the nation’s best scholars. The mission of the Goodman Institute is to find private alternatives to government programs that are not working. Among the many successes, Goodman Institute scholars are responsible for Health Savings Accounts, Roth IRAs, and the ability of seniors to continue working without losing their Social Security benefits. Its tax scholars produced the original design for the corporate tax cuts that became law in 2017.

About the Sir Antony Fisher Award
Sir Antony Fisher was a British businessman who founded the Institute for Economic Affairs in London, an organization that became the source of many reforms implemented by Margaret Thatcher.

Based on that highly successful experiment, Fisher went around the world establishing as many as three dozen think tanks.

The result was a network of organizations that worked with each other, learned from each other, and promoted free market ideas -- including privatization, deregulation, and tax reform.

The Antony Fisher Award is given to an individual who exemplifies the values and the vision of Sir Antony --through words, deeds and example.

The Goodman Institute is pleased to announce that Ted Cruz, the US Senator for Texas, will receive the 2025 Sir Antony Fisher Award.
Ted Cruz
U.S. Senator for Texas
In 2013, Ted was sworn into the United States Senate, where he has been a passionate fighter for limited government, economic growth, and national security. He has authored dozens of legislative measures that have been signed into law, including expanding 529 college savings accounts to allow parents to save for K-12 public, private, and religious education, repealing Obamacare’s individual mandate, imposing sanctions on terrorists who use civilians as human shields, designating North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism, targeting Putin’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline through multiple bills that halted construction and kept it stalled, reauthorizing and reforming NASA, holding dictatorships in South America accountable, and ensuring the availability of additional records to help solve civil rights cold cases.

He is also leading the fight in the Senate to support Texas jobs, rein in Big Tech, secure the border, and fundamentally reassess the U.S.-China relationship and hold the Chinese Communist Party accountable for covering up the coronavirus pandemic, committing human rights atrocities, and engaging in censorship, propaganda, and espionage in the United States.
