Event Management Procedures

General Statement and Guidelines

The Goshen Central School District goal is to provide a safe environment for all who attend events at the High School stadium.

This is a no cost ticketed entry event with capacity limitations. each attendee must have an individual ticket to enter

Stadium exiting and re-entry may be restricted at times

Assigned stadium Security staff will support a safe environment

Negative or prohibited actions will result in removal from the event

Spectator compliance with the NYSPHSAA and Section 9 Sportsmanship Guidelines are expected

Police/security will be present at home varsity football games

Event attendees are responsible for their conduct at all times

The Goshen Central School District is not responsible for personal items lost, stolen, or left behind

The Goshen Central School District prohibits unsafe items in the stadium

No bags/ backpacks are allowed at entry to the stadium

Assigned School District Personnel will oversee and administer compliance to stadium procedures

Non compliance may result in no entry to / or removal from the event.



PROHIBITED ITEMS

The Goshen Central School District goal is to provide a safe environment for all who attend events at the High School stadium.
All stadium events are restricted public events conducted on school property and are subject to trespass laws that may be invoked.
Violations of the prohibited items list may result in removal,arrest,and /or denied access to future events

The following is a list of prohibited Items that may result in an event attendee removal from the stadium and school grounds:

• NO ALCOHOLOR ILLEGAL DRUGS

NO WEAPONS-(AS DEFINED BY NY STATE LAWS)-GUNS, KNIVES, DEFENSE SPRAYS, LASERS, FIREWORKS

• NO SMOKING & TOBACCO ITEMS (INCLUDES E-CIGARETTES AND VAPORIZERS)
• NO BACKPACKS OR BAGS ALLOWED-NOTHING SIZED LARGER THAN 4.5” X 6.5 
• ITEMS THAT COULD BE USED AS A PROJECTILES
• HORNS/LASERS/ARTIFICIAL NOISEMAKERS. BULL HORNS
• AEROSOLS OR SPRAY BOTTLES OF ANY TYPE
• COOLERS/CANS/BOTTLES/FOOD/DRINKS/GLASS ITEMS
• NO PETS (SERVICE ANIMALS ARE PERMITTED)
• NO BICYCLES INSIDE FENCED STADIUM AREA
• NO SIGNS, FLAGS, FLAG POLES,“SELFIE” STICKS,
• NO INFLATABLES/GAME BALLS/BATS
• CONCEALMENT GARMENTS SUBJECT TO REVIEW AND APPROVAL
• UNMANNED AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS & RADIO CONTROLLED MODEL AIRCRAFT/DRONES (STRICTLY PROHIBITED ON SCHOOL PROPERTY INCLUDING PARKING LOTS, STADIUM EXTERIOR AND INSIDE THE STADIUM)

PROHIBITED ACTIONS

The following is a list of prohibited actions that may result in an event attendee removal from the stadium and school grounds:

• ABUSIVE, FOUL OR DISRUPTIVE LANGUAGE AND OBSCENE GESTURES
• ANY BEHAVIOR WHICH OTHERWISE INTERFERES WITH OTHER GUESTS
• ANY DISRUPTIVE ’ ACTIONS, INCLUDING THROWING, KICKING OBJECTS AND FIELD JUMPING
• SMOKING AND THE USE OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS OF ANY KIND
• INTOXICATION OR OTHER SIGNS OF IMPAIRMENT RELATED TO ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION OR DRUG USE
• ENTERING THE STADIUM WITH WEAPONS OF ANY KIND
• STANDING OR SITTING IN WALKWAYS, AISLES OR RAMPS
• FAILING TO FOLLOW EVENT STAFF INSTRUCTIONS
• FIGHTING, TAUNTING OR THREATENING REMARKS OR AGGRESSIVE GESTURES
• SPECTATORS  ARE EXPECTED TO SIT IN THEIR DESIGNATED HOME/VISITORS SEATING SECTIONS.
• DISTRIBUTING HANDBILLS, PAMPHLETS, ETC.
• OBSCENE OR INDECENT CLOTHING
• TAILGATING IN THE PARKING LOT AND ON SCHOOL GROUNDS

ON EVENT DAY, SPECTATORS CAN REPORT ISSUES AND CONCERNS BY NOTIFYING (IN PERSON,) THE ASSIGNED EVENT STAFF/ SECURITY PERSONNEL OR SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION PRESENT. PLEASE UTILIZE THE PRESS BOX OR THE FIELD LEVEL MAIN TUNNEL ENTRY GATE TO LOCATE ASSIGNED STAFF.

PARENTAL SUPERVISION

ALL STUDENTS/ CHILDREN WHO HAVE NOT YET ENTERED THE NINTH GRADE ARE EXPECTED TO BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL GOSHEN VARSITY ATHLETIC EVENTS AT THE STADIUM
