Participants are responsible for ensuring access to the HackIN 2021 virtual platforms. Participants are also responsible for ensuring compatibility between the Game Kit and their own computing equipment/environment., as well as installing/configuring any recommended software tools.

Any unauthorized distribution, handling, or viewing may result in disqualification of the associated contestant and their respective team.

How the Winners will be Determined:
Eligible submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by the Sponsors (the “Judges”). Judges may be employees of the Sponsors or external, and may change before or during the judging period. Judging may take place in one or more rounds with one or more panels of Judges, at the discretion of the Sponsors. All communication with Judges must be in English. Additional details on the Judging Process follow.

Judging Process:
Judging will take place with a combination of in-person scoring and via the HackIN 2021 virtual platforms. Challenges will be scored either via submission to the HackIN 2021 virtual platforms or, in some cases, through presentation in-person to the Judges. There will be three primary rounds—Orientation, Challenges, and Finals— outlined below.:

Round 1 (Orientation): At event kick-off, teams will be provided with access to the challenge descriptions. Before teams are eligible to proceed to Round 2 and submit solutions to challenges, they are required to complete a basic set of exercises to orient to the HackIN 2021 virtual platforms and event structure.

Round 2 (Challenges): During the Challenges Round, teams will submit solutions via the HackIN 2021 virtual platforms and/or present their solutions to Judges for scoring. Judges will evaluate each entry based upon the criteria specified for each challenge and award points accordingly; interpretation of the criteria is at the discretion of the Judges.

Round 3 (Finals): At the conclusion of Round 2, the top three teams (by total points accumulated) will proceed to the Finals. During the Finals, teams will be provided with a final challenge to prepare and present a technical document (e.g. presentation or short whitepaper). Teams will submit and/or present in person; all team members must be present. Once all entries are submitted/presented, Judges will complete scoring and tally the final scores to determine the first, second, and third place winners.

Please Note: Entries may be subject to a due diligence review at any time for eligibility and compliance with these Rules. Determination of eligibility and compliance is in the Sponsors sole discretion. The Judges’ decisions with respect to the winning teams and the Sponsors decisions with respect to all other matters pertaining to HackIN 2021 shall be final and binding.
