Harper Mathis is an amazing young woman who has been fighting Medulloblastoma (brain cancer) since July of 2020. She is a relentless fighter and has endured months and months of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Harper's mom & dad, Justin and Shellie, and her sister Payton have been at her side since day one. She has been embraced by our community and her spirit has inspired us all to be strong in the face of adversity.
Three months ago, Harper received clear MRI scans and it appeared all of her treatments had been successful. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago during a routine MRI, the doctors found that her cancer had returned with a vengeance in another part of her brain. The family is devastated. These tumors are in an inoperable area and will require a different treatment plan than previously used. The family is now looking into potential clinical trials both in and out of the US, so the immediate treatment plan is still unknown. What we do know is they have an incredible fight ahead of them. Justin and Shellie will be off of work indefinitely as they navigate this long road, and we want to support them in any way we can. One of the greatest needs will be financial support for the family while they seek treatment for Harper. That is where this fundraiser comes in! We want to raise as much money as we can on June 10th so that the Mathis family can concentrate on Harper's treatment and have access to every resource possible. They have an immense fight ahead and we thank every one of you for your contributions, no matter how small!
