Creation Discovery Family Retreat
Join us the weekend of August 21 - 23, 2026, in Glen Rose, Texas for ICR's Creation Discovery Family Retreat!

Step away from the noise of this busy world and step into something deeper.  Join ICR for a 3-day, 2-night family retreat designed to strengthen your confidence in the Word, refresh your spirit, and create lasting memories together.  This retreat is built for the whole family, across multiple generations! Grandparents, parents, and kids all will find meaningful connection, encouragement, and space to grow.

Across the weekend, you’ll experience a rich blend of engaging teaching sessions for adults, youth, and children.  Hands-on activities, interactive games, outdoor adventures, and powerful times of  reflection and worship will round out the retreat itinerary.  Parents will be equipped.  Kids will be inspired.  Grandparents will be encouraged.  And your family will laugh, learn, and discover together, as you grow in your faith and confidence in the Lord Jesus and His Word.

This isn’t just another event on the calendar.  It’s an opportunity to pause, reconnect, and invest intentionally in what matters most.  Come ready for fun, fellowship, and faith-building moments your family will be talking about long after the weekend ends.

Are there any discounts available for registration?
We have done our best to make this camp as affordable as possible, while also maximizing the educational benefits and maintaining the quality of the experience, and covering the expenses of ICR's staff involved. To that end, the price for each room is set up with the actual expected costs involved for each occupant / participant. By having rooms available that can accommodate up to 4 or 5 people (depending on the room), we are able to pass along some savings for those who will be joined by other family or friends who are able to share lodging accommodations.

However, we do understand that this camp is costly, so we are making available a 20% discount off the regular registration price for families of 7 or more people (can be immediate family or an extended family group). In order to receive the coupon code for the 15% discount, please email [email protected] with the number of people in your group and their names and ages. Please note that this discount will be available only through June 30th, 2026.

Are you a Member of the ICR Discovery Center?
If you hold an current membership at the ICR Discovery Center, you are eligible for a 15% discount off the total regular registration price. Please email [email protected] for a coupon code to use for your registration.  Note that only one discount of 15% off per family will be honored.

Are you a Member of the Kids on Mission?
If your child is a member of ICR's Kids on Mission program, you are eligible for a 15% discount off the total regular registration price. Please email [email protected] for a coupon code to use for your registration. Note that only one discount of 15% off per family will be honored.

Are there any other discounts available?
Yes! If you would like to pay for your tour registration by personal check, you can receive a discount of $25 off the registration price for each registrant you pay for by check. Paying by check helps us reduce costs from credit card processing fees. If you wish to pay for your registration by check, please email [email protected] for instructions on where to mail the check, and for setting up your registration.
What is the refund policy for registration cancelation?
We trust that you will be able to participate in this fun and educational camp, and make some new friends along the way as you learn more about the evidences for creation and the global flood! But, we do know that sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise, and a registrant may have to back out from participating in the tour.

That said, ICR will allow for cancellations of a registration requested by registrants who contact us as soon as they are aware of the need to do so, but due to the nature of financial commitment that ICR has involved in setting up this camp, a full refund for a registration cancellation will be available only through June 30th, 2026.

Cancellation requests made AFTER June 30th* will receive a partial refund to their registration payment in the amount of $100 per registrant.

*In the event of extended severe weather (i.e. tornado, extended flooding, etc.) that leads to a cancellation of the camp, each participant will receive a full refund of their registration payment.
Logistics and Travel Planning
Where will we be staying?
The ICR Creation Discovery Family Retreat will take place on the beautiful grounds of the Riverbend Christian Retreat Center, situated along the Brazos River.  Riverbend has several motel and lodge style accommodations that we have available for our group.  When you register, please select either a motel style room, or cottage.  If you have a larger family or extended families / group attending, then choose the G. Rollie Lodge for up to 16 people from the same family or group.  There are also a small number of RV pads available for any families that have an RV or camper.  Each pad has electric, water, and sewer connections.
Where is the nearest airport?
The nearest large public airport is DFW International Airport. This airport has regular daily flights via a number of domestic and international carriers, including American, Delta, United, Frontier, and Allegiant.  DFW International Airport is located approximately 90 miles from Riverbend Retreat Center.  Depending on traffic in the DFW metroplex, travel times from the airport may take up to 2 hours or longer.  Plan your arrival and departure times accordingly, in consideration of the Family Camp schedule.
Will ICR be providing transportation to Glen Rose from Dallas?
In order to help keep our costs reasonable, each family will be responsible for getting to and from Riverbend Retreat Center, and for their own transportation for the off-site field trips planned at the start and ending of the retreat.
Can I book my own hotel room(s) and get a discount on the retreat registration costs?
Our camp is intended to be virtually all-inclusive, with the exception of transportation to and from Riverbend Retreat Center.   That said, and considering one of our primary goals for the retreat is to foster friendships and fellowship amongst the families who participate, and to help streamline the logistics of an activity heavy itinerary we will not be allowing any retreat participants to book their own lodging accommodations.

However, if you have a self-contained RV, there are a limited number of RV slots available at Riverbend Retreat Center.  These are available at a substantial discount over the cost of registering for one of the retreat center's motel, lodge or cottage style rooms.  If you are interested in bringing your RV, please email [email protected] for instructions on how to register your family for the camp as RV campers instead of staying in the retreat center's room(s).
