Getting Back on Track: Fixing the Farm Economy
A Farmers Union Discussion
4pm - October 21st
Getting Back on Track: Fixing the Farm Economy
Farm policy is failing family farmers and ranchers. Costs are up, prices are down, and farm bankruptcies rose 46% in a single year. Family farms are caught between concentrated corporate power and a farm safety net that no longer reflects what it costs to farm today.

It doesn't have to be this way. Join Illinois Farmers Union and farmers from across Iowa and Illinois to talk about what we're up against and, more importantly, where we go from here. Share what's working on your operation, hear what's working on others, and help shape the ideas and solutions that can get farm country back on solid ground.

Special guests include: Will Westmoreland, Illinois and Iowa Farmers Union leaders

Join us at the Rock Island Downtown Library!
The event kicks off at 4pm.
Learn about Will Westmoreland: Will is the founder of Back Forty Action, a national organization dedicated to strengthening rural America by advocating for better healthcare, stronger public education, thriving family farms, and greater economic opportunity. A farmer, speaker, rural political advisor, and nationally recognized digital creator, he reaches hundreds of thousands of Americans each month through his videos and commentary focused on the issues facing rural communities.
Over the past two years, Will has traveled thousands of miles across the country, listening to farmers, ranchers, small business owners, and rural families. His message is simple: rural America deserves to be heard, respected, and invested in. His goal is more challenging: the revitalization of rural America. But he strongly believes that if folks come together, our collective power can get the job done.
