Implant Principles - Module 1
Our first module grounds you in the core principles of implant dentistry. Success starts with a comprehensive assessment—reviewing diagnostic records, accurately diagnosing conditions, and designing a patient-centered treatment plan. You’ll learn
how to perform an implant-focused dental exam, evaluate force and risk factors, and merge the patients functional needs and aesthetic goals and expectations. In addition, we’ll introduce key surgical considerations such as bone density evaluation, socket grafting techniques, and the fundamentals of implant placement to help you plan with precision and confidence.

Implant Surgery - Module 2
In module two, we build on the foundation with step-by-step surgical training. You’ll learn incision and flap designs, surgical sequencing, ISQ (implant stability quotient)assessment, suturing techniques, immediate implant placement, basic bone grafting
at the time of surgery, and key postoperative considerations. This module
includes live patient surgery with program-provided patients —an exclusive experience with our Implant Foundations course.

In the final module, we are honoured to have Dr. Beatrice Leung to help translate surgical success into restorative excellence. You will learn how to evaluate fixed vs. removable prosthetic options, step by step single tooth implant restorations, vertical
dimension and full arch reconstructions.

Get to know Dr. Natalie Wong
Dr. Wong earned her DDS from the University of Toronto in 1996 and her Certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of Michigan in 2007. She is uniquely triple board-certified in Implant Dentistry (ABOI, 2003), U.S. Prosthodontics (ABP, 2008), and Canadian Prosthodontics (FRCDC, 2008). A Diplomate of the ICOI, she also holds Fellowships with the AAID, AGD, and Misch International Implant Institute Canada, where she is on faculty.

Dr. Wong lectures nationally and internationally on implant dentistry and maintains a clinical practice in Toronto, Ontario, focused on both the surgical and prosthetic phases of implantology. She has held academic positions at the University of Toronto and Temple University and is the Founder and Director of the Toronto Implant Institute Inc. She is a Past President of the ABOI, AAID, and the Association of Prosthodontists of Ontario.
Get to know Dr. Beatrice Leung
Dr. Leung received her DDS degree at the University of Toronto. She completed a GPR at the Boston Medical Center and a Prosthodontics Residency at the University of Pittsburgh. During that time, she also earned a MPH degree. Following these programs, she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics.

She has been in private practice since graduation. Currently she serves as a part time Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto involved in the undergraduate prosthodontic education. She has been named an Honorary Class Member for three years and a recipient of the 2019-2020 Dr. Bruce Hord Master Teacher Award.
