Glenn Alan Zartman, age 53, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed away on December 3, 2022.

Glenn was born in Baltimore, MD on September 23, 1969, to Connie Lelia Walls and John Edward Zartman, Sr.

After graduating from high school, Glenn started his long career in the elevator industry. Glenn was a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors for 31 years before his passing, most recently as part of Local #10.

Glenn spent most of his time outside of work as a loving father to his two sons, dog parent, cigar aficionado, motorcyclist, and beer enthusiast. Long nights smoking cigars with his friends and family were what made him happiest.

In addition to his parents, Glenn is survived by his two sons, Bradley and Matthew Zartman; his brothers, John Zartman Jr. (wife Gina), David Zartman and Joseph Zartman.

In lieu of gifts, we kindly ask that you make a donation via the link below. All donations will be split 50/50 between the below charities that are close to our hearts. Please consider donating to these great causes in lieu of flowers for the celebration of life.

The first charity is the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network, Inc. (Bcan), and any donation will help make an impact. The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network’s (BCAN) mission is to increase public awareness about bladder cancer, advance bladder cancer research and, provide educational and support services for the bladder cancer community. Glenn passed away at 53 from bladder cancer and we would love to donate to this cause to benefit others fighting this disease.

The second charity is Mid-Atlantic German Shepherd Rescue. MAGSR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all volunteer operated organization since 1999 - providing a second chance to German Shepherd dogs & German Shepherd mixes by rescuing, rehabilitating, nurturing, training & healing dogs that have been abused, abandoned, neglected, lost, strayed or surrendered in MD, DC, Northern VA & South-Central PA. Anyone that knew Glenn, knew he loved dogs. Glenn was obsessed with German Shepherds especially, and even had one at the time of his passing that his younger son, Matthew is now taking care of.
