As a mental health professional, and a trauma specialist, Contessa came to her love for yoga for her own means of coping with the stresses of the week. Eventually, she came to study its healing effects on trauma and stress and made the decision to pursue teaching yoga professionally. Contessa graduated from The Jungle Yoga School in 2023 where she deepened her yoga practice, learned the history and philosophy of yoga, and came to understand the depth of yoga’s power to help bodies release stored tension. As someone with a passion to facilitate healing spaces, she founded Just Healing to impart moments of deep peace, allow each student to come as they are, and ensure the healing properties of yoga remain accessible.
