The Art & Science of Children's Sleep Schedule's
Presented by Patience Elizabeth
Creating a sleep schedule for a child isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s a thoughtful balance of developmental needs, family rhythms, and responsive caregiving. In this session, Patience Elizabeth, MA will guide nannies through a practical framework for building effective, individualized sleep schedules for infants and children. Participants will learn the five key components to creating sleep schedules and how to apply them in real-life caregiving situations.
Beyond the schedule itself, this session emphasizes the importance of collaboration. Attendees will gain tools for communicating with parents in a way that fosters trust, clarity, and partnership—ensuring that sleep plans are aligned with family values while supporting the child’s well-being. This workshop is ideal for caregivers looking to deepen their confidence, flexibility, and effectiveness around sleep.

Sensory Processing in Childhood
Presented by Brynne Dunning
This presentation explores the foundational principles of sensory processing and how they influence learning, development, and regulation in children. We’ll begin by defining primary and secondary sensory systems and examining their unique functions in how children experience and respond to their environment. From there, we’ll look at practical sensory strategies that support both regulation and development, with a focus on how caregivers can apply these strategies to create more inclusive, responsive environments that enhance children's engagement and success.

Patterns, Power, and Playrooms: Breaking Cycles While Building Children Up
Presented by Jessica Rector
In caregiving, we spend a lot of time learning about children’s development — milestones, behavior, emotional regulation, and attachment. But one of the most powerful influences on children is something we talk about far less: the experiences and patterns caregivers bring with them into the room. Patterns, Power, and Playrooms: Breaking Cycles While Building Children Up explores how our own past experiences, nervous systems, and learned responses shape the way we react to children in our care. Through storytelling, humor, and honest reflection, this session invites caregivers to look at how triggers, emotional patterns, and early life experiences can show up in everyday caregiving moments. Participants will learn practical tools for reflective caregiving, emotional regulation, and repair, empowering them to show up more intentionally for the children they support. Because the truth is, the care we give often starts with the care we needed — and awareness gives us the power to break cycles rather than repeat them.

She will be tuning in virtually, live from New York.
