A Not Just Brunch Event is a weekend gathering that celebrates the strength, stories, and impact of women from around the world. Taking place December 4–5, 2026, the experience brings together a diverse community of leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers under the theme “Every Tribe • Every Tongue • One Woman.” The weekend will feature a Wellness Conference, a Fundraiser Gala, and the signature Not Just Brunch on Saturday, concluding with a special post-dinner celebration designed to continue the spirit of connection and encouragement. Through thoughtful conversations, shared experiences, and meaningful moments of inspiration, guests and sponsors alike will be part of a gathering that uplifts women and celebrates unity across cultures and backgrounds.

The Not Just Brunch Wellness Conference offers a more intimate and intentional space for connection, learning, and personal growth. Many guests shared after last year’s gathering that they wished there had been more time to engage with the speakers and one another—this conference was created with that in mind. Designed to focus on wellness of mind, body, and spirit, the experience allows attendees to meet the Not Just Brunch speakers in a more personal setting, participate in meaningful conversations, and join interactive breakout sessions that explore topics relevant to women today. The conference will conclude with a curated vendor experience, giving guests the opportunity to connect with wellness-focused businesses and resources that support a balanced and inspired life.

Dr. Kamilia Smith
Dr. Kamilia Smith is a passionate advocate for women's health with more than 20 years of experience dedicated to improving female well-being. She is the founder of The Charleston House, a Dallas-based concierge gynecology practice offering personalized, comprehensive care, and Charleston House Too, a program supporting young women as they transition from high school to college and early adulthood. Dr. Smith is committed to advancing women's health through a modern, holistic approach that addresses physical, mental, and emotional wellness at every stage of life.

Pastor Akudo Omotayo is a minister, teacher, and servant leader who has served with RCCG in various ministries and parishes since 1992. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Lagos, graduating at the top of her class.
Alongside her husband, she has helped plant and establish four churches across three continents, giving her a unique perspective on ministry and the role of pastors’ wives. Her passion for empowering Christian women led to Ladies Alive, the vibrant women’s ministry she currently oversees and pastors at New Covenant House.
Pastor A.K. is also passionate about music and previously served as a praise and worship leader. She and her husband, PF, are proud parents of two daughters.

Pastor Lorena Valle serves as an Associate Pastor at Gateway Church’s Southlake Campus. Born in Guatemala, she has family and friends around the world and brings a global perspective to her ministry. She is married to the love of her life, Luis, and together they have one son, Christopher.

Dr.Zuriel Oduwole
Nobel Peace Prize Nominee
Dr. Zuriel Elise Oduwole, Nobel Prize Nominee, is an internationally recognized leader in global development, diplomacy, and girls' education. By age 10, she was conducting policy discussions with world leaders, and today she has advised more than 35 Presidents and Prime Ministers on leadership, security, and education. Her advocacy helped end child marriage in Mozambique, positively impacting more than 1.1 million girls. A filmmaker, humanitarian, and sought-after global speaker, Dr. Oduwole has been recognized with the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon Leadership Award, the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award, and the Forbes Women Award. In 2026, she became the youngest doctoral graduate in the history of the USC Rossier School of Education, earning a doctorate in Organizational Leadership & Change.

Dr. Constance Okeke
Dr. Constance Okeke is an Ivy League-trained, board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma and cataract surgery. She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Yale University, completed her ophthalmology residency at Johns Hopkins’ Wilmer Eye Institute, and a glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
A nationally and internationally recognized leader in glaucoma care, Dr. Okeke is a pioneer in Micro-Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) and serves as Lead Glaucoma Specialist at Virginia Eye Consultants. She is an accomplished researcher, educator, author, and speaker whose work has advanced innovative treatments for glaucoma and cataracts.
Named to The Ophthalmologist’s Power List in 2021 and 2022, Dr. Okeke is also passionate about preventing blindness through patient education, medical missions, glaucoma awareness, and community outreach.
Dr. Azra Idrizovic
Dr. Azra Idrizovic is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma and complex cataract care. She has been with the Glaucoma Center of Texas for the past 10 years and also serves as adjunct faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she helps train the next generation of ophthalmologists. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Dr. Abigal Gordon
Dr. Abigal Gordon is a fellowship-trained, board-certified Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, eyebrows, tear ducts, and face. She trained at Rice University, Baylor College of Medicine, Emory University, and UT Southwestern, and is known for combining advanced surgical expertise with compassionate care. Dr. Gordon is committed to achieving natural, functional results and has published research in leading medical journals. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Aaleya Koreishi
Dr. Aaleya Koreishi is the founding partner of Cornea Consultants of Texas and a fellowship-trained cornea and refractive surgeon. She earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan, completed her residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins, and her fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. An award-winning educator and speaker, Dr. Koreishi is recognized for bringing the latest surgical advances to her patients while remaining passionate about education, innovation, and excellence in eye care.
Dr. Meredith Abbott
Dr. Meredith Abbott, MD is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist fellowship trained in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Abbott specializes in the latest advances in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery as well as nonsurgical rejuvenation of the periocular area and face. As an advocate of personalized treatment plans, Dr. Abbott founded her own boutique practice, Abbott Aesthetics, where she is able to combine her surgical procedures with cutting-edge medical aesthetic treatments that complement her surgeries. She provides her patients with a compassionate and supportive experience throughout their treatment journey. With her vast knowledge and commitment to quality care, she is dedicated to improving the lives of her patients.
Dr. Helen Merritt
Dr. Helen Merritt is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery and a member of the prestigious American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). A Dallas native and fluent Spanish speaker, she specializes in the treatment of eyelid, eye socket, and tearing disorders, as well as cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Merritt completed medical school and ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, followed by two years of specialized fellowship training in oculofacial plastic surgery at Eyesthetica and the University of Southern California.
She has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations in the field and is available for consultations at the Dallas and Plano office locations.

Dr. Michelle Butler is a native Texan and Dallas-based ophthalmologist who joined Glaucoma Associates of Texas in 2013.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University, where she was a Lechner Scholar and Distinguished Scholar. She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, graduating with honors and earning membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Butler also completed her ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident.
Throughout her training, Dr. Butler received numerous honors recognizing her achievements in research, ethics, and patient care, including the Goar Research Award, Schindler Award, and a grant from the Lions Foundation for Sight Research.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Butler enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
