Trade the traditional networking event for an evening of sports, conversation, and a little friendly competition with CFA Society Hartford.
We’ll take over Oakwood Virtual Golf for a relaxed, interactive social designed for analysts, portfolio managers, advisors, and other investment professionals. Two simulators will be dedicated to golf, while a third will feature a variety of virtual sports—including soccer, baseball, football, cornhole, and skee-ball—so golfers and non-golfers alike can get into the action.
Adding an investment twist to the evening, attendees will team up for “AI vs. the Analyst: Who Makes the Better Investment Call?” Teams will work through investment scenarios, put their market instincts to the test, and compare their decisions with AI-generated responses. It’s a fun way to explore where human judgment and artificial intelligence agree—and where they don’t.
Throughout the evening, enjoy heavy appetizers, refreshments, and bar service while connecting with fellow members and industry professionals.
No golf experience required—come to play, compete, network, or simply enjoy the conversation.

The CFA Society Hartford pays for the events on a per person basis based on the number of RSVPs received. If a member RSVPs that they will be attending and does not attend, CFA Society Hartford must still pay for that person. In many instances, this adds up to hundreds of dollars per event. Please be sure to cancel your reservation as soon as possible if you later realize you will be unable to attend.
