You asked and IAPIC is delivering. We are offering a free three-hour in person Microbiology course for Infection Preventionists the day before our fall Intermountain APIC conference.
This course will be taught by seasoned Infection preventionists with a microbiology background.
The course will include a review of bacteriology, laboratory workflows, culture type, testing methodologies, organisms of importance and antimicrobials. We will also discuss the role of infection prevention in antimicrobial stewardship.
This course will help new and experienced IPs trying to understand microbiology testing and reporting in the context of infection prevention.
This would be a great CIC preparation course.
