Course Objectives
- Pharmacology of Sedatives in Dentistry: Review the pharmacology of sedatives, as well as street and prescription drugs, relevant to patient management.
- Evaluate the EMERGENCY: Based on the significance of various urgencies, annoyances, and non-events.
- Achieve Optimal Outcomes: Understand the pharmacology of local anesthetics, including brand names, effectiveness, safety, and the role of vasoconstrictors in achieving optimal outcomes and ensuring patient safety.
- Understand and Recognize: That the Multitasking local anesthetic technique(s) in the mandible can achieve up to a 99% success rate.
- Focus on Syncope Management: Participate in mock simulations to develop your ability to handle syncope and other emergencies with confidence.
- Interpret New FDA and Health Canada Regulations: Concerning pregnancy, lactation, and safe patient treatment practices.
- Universal Approach to Any Situation: Learn how to handle situations in-office and in life, from mistakes made to hindsight problem-solving, with a focus on real-life practice scenarios.
- Fullfill: All 12 required Continuing Education (CE) credits, as per RCDSO regulatory requirements.
