The 2024
International Workshop on Environmental Genomics (IWEG) convenes experts from industry, academia, and regulatory agencies worldwide. This annual workshop, held in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, aims to foster discussions on the state-of-the-art of environmental genomic technologies and applications.
This year’s workshop theme,
“Advancing Nature Accountability: From Measurement to Management,” reflects the growing importance of understanding and preserving our natural ecosystems. As biodiversity targets become formally recognized in national and international programs, participants will explore opportunities for the use of environmental genomics to manage nature sustainably. By leveraging insights from genomics, we can make informed decisions that contribute to the long-term health of our planet.
