PERFORMER
Elijah Cole is a guitarist, pianist, and composer in Philadelphia.
Elijah began performing professionally at the age of 15 in the Washington, D.C. area where he grew up. He spent his formative high school years under the mentorship of D.C. music icons such as Paul Carr and Michael Bowie, before moving to Philadelphia to continue his education at Temple University. As a student at Temple, he was able to immerse himself in the rich Philadelphia music scene, while simultaneously studying with musicians such as Terell Stafford, Peter Bernstein, Mike Moreno, Dick Oatts, and Rodney Green.
Still residing in Philadelphia today, he is one of the most in-demand guitarists in the area, performing in a variety of styles and contexts as a sideman and a leader.
Elijah has performed at venues such as Blues Alley, the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, The Kennedy Center, SOUTH, and Chris' Jazz Cafe. Additionally, he performs across the United States and internationally, most recently with Chelsea Reed and the Fairweather Five on a tour of the US and Canada.
In addition to a busy performing schedule, Elijah has a passion for sharing the gift of music with a wide range of students. He teaches privately on guitar and piano.
His music blends a wide array of influences into a unique sound that delivers a powerful emotional message. His mission is to create music that stimulates the mind, soul, and spirit of his listeners.
