Fire House Loft is excited to present New Orleans’ very own international art sensation, Jerin “Jerk” Beasley, during this year's Art for Art's Sake on Magazine Street.

Beasley is known for his use of rich, vibrant colors, bandage imagery, and culturally relevant and impactful messages. On October 7, we'll be showcasing Jerk's latest abstract collection, The Art of Intuition, alongside some of his other recent works.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Space is limited and registration will be required to enter. Please RSVP by Thursday, October 5 to guarantee your spot and skip the registration line.

About the Artist...

Born in Raised in New Orleans, Jerk realized his passion for art at a young age and fully embraced his talent. During his childhood and teenage years, Jerk cultivated his gift and produced a wide variety of bold work for collectors near and far. A lover of fashion, Jerk also hand-painted his artwork on articles of clothes and accessory items.

In his twenties, Jerk endured traumatic times during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. These deeply painful experiences left a powerful and life-changing impact on him. Jerk expresses this pain through his signature bandaids and bandages that are seen on many of his pieces.

As a fighter and a survivor, Jerk also expresses the bright side of life by using rich and vibrant colors to convey the growth and positivity that come from dark times and suffering.

In May of 2021, Jerk unveiled his now-legendary portrait of Jay-Z at Larry Morrow's Treehouse nightclub. Five months after its debut in New Orleans, Jay-Z purchased the piece and installed it at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during his induction ceremony.

A master of his craft, Jerk has established himself as and a force to be reckoned with in the art world. And he's just getting started.
