Peacenics are a collaborative effort between the City of Detroit, U.S. Attorney’s Office, law enforcement, and community organizations, groups, and members to promote peace in our neighborhoods. Peacenics are a great opportunity to access resources and share food, fellowship and fun times with your neighbors—all in the name of peace. The Peacenic on the East Side will be at Heilmann Recreation Center on June 15 (with a rain date of June 23), and the Peacenic on the West Side will be at O’Hair Park on June 29 (with a rain date of June 30), so please register for one Peacenic or both! The Peacenics will feature community resources (including expungement assistance, job training programs, and medical providers), reading hours, free clothing, food, games, and contests for the whole family.

Activities include:
Food, face painting, Mr. Inflatables, laser tag, exotic petting zoo, chess, flag football, volleyball, basketball, mobile game truck, magician, Jump N Jam, card games, Detroit Pistons Extreme Team, DJ Mixx, and more.

Food Vendors:
Happy's Pizza, Savvy Sliders, Motor City Sweet Treats, and Hot Dogs.

Residents can also visit city and community resources such as:
Housing Resources, Mental Health Programs, Clothing Drive, Mammograms, Expungements, City of Detroit and Wayne State Mobile Health Units, City of Detroit Digital Equity Resources, Reading Resources and Workforce Programs.

These events are powered by the City of Detroit, U.S. Attorney's Office, the Detroit Police Department, Detroit Parks and Recreation, and various law enforcement partners.
