Join us in making history! Coweta County will proudly host its first-ever Juneteenth Parade in the heart of downtown Newnan, a powerful celebration of freedom, unity, and culture.

Presented by the Coweta County NAACP Youth Council, this vibrant event commemorates June 19, 1865—the day when the last enslaved African Americans in the U.S. were declared free. The parade honors this legacy while showcasing the voices of our youth, local organizations, schools, and community partners.

🎺 Parade Highlights Include:

• Marching bands & local performers
• Creative floats & community groups
• Cultural showcases & artistic displays
• A post-parade celebration with food trucks at The Reserve (18 Savannah St.)

📍 Parade Route:
Starts at Veterans Memorial Park (Temple Ave.), proceeds through Jackson/Lagrange St., curves onto Greenville St., and ends at The Reserve.

• Car Clubs: $250
• Non-Profit Floats: $100
• Juneteenth Ad book: $100 
• Walking Groups: $50
• Vans and extra-large vehicles: $50
• Vehicles: $25
• Motorcyclists: $10 per rider
• Food Truck Vendors: $50

🏆 Trophies will be awarded for the most creative, well-crafted, and engaging floats!
🎁 All parade participants are asked to hand out giveaways (no throwing).
