~Learning In Faith~
A Middle School Parents/Guardians Support Group
Hosted by Children’s and Families Ministries
Of The First Third of Life Commission
Episcopal Diocese of Newark
Raising children through the middle school years can feel both exciting and overwhelming. Unlike elementary school, where parents and guardians often have a built-in network of support, middle school tends to create more independence for students—and often more isolation for the adults. This new monthly gathering is designed to bring parents and guardians together for connection, encouragement, and practical guidance as we navigate this important season side by side.
To kick off the group, we will be using Middle School Matters by Phyllis Fagell as a guide for our conversations. Together, we’ll explore the ten key skills kids need to thrive during these years and discover ways adults can encourage and support their children in developing them. As a pilot program, your participation will help shape how this gathering grows to best serve parents and guardians in the years ahead. Through guided discussions, shared learning, and faith-driven encouragement, we’ll create a supportive community for parents walking the middle school journey.
Please RSVP so that we ensure there is enough seating and sweets available.
