An Interactive Workshop with Eliane Abdel-Malek
What does it really feel like to struggle with reading, writing, math, memory, organization, or processing information, even when you are intelligent and trying your best? Learning disabilities are differences in how the brain processes information. They can affect skills such as reading, writing, spelling, speaking, understanding instructions, organizing thoughts, and working with numbers. They are not a reflection of a person’s intelligence, effort, or potential. Through hands-on activities, guided simulations, real-life examples, and practical discussion, participants will experience some of the challenges individuals with learning disabilities may face.
