Visually Comfortable Lighting Design for Interior Architecture V2

This course explores the transition from paper task to electronic mediums in our offices, schools, and healthcare environments. The presentation provides an overview of the elements of sustainability and how to best specify sustainably designed luminaires. It will also explore current popular methodologies to measure glare, and the choices that can be used to ensure spaces are visually comfortable where people and productivity are key. By the end of the course, attendees should:
 Be able to recognize the key elements of sustainability & their impacts including Embodied & Operational Carbon, Materials Responsibility & Workplace Social Responsibility. Be able to distinguish between the various Materials Transparency disclosures including Declare labels, Health Product Declarations and Manufacturer's Letters. Understand the luminaire related sustainability requirements of WELL, LEED and The Living Building Challenge. Be able to apply the principals discussed to specify the most environmentally responsible lighting equipment for your project.
