LIVING IN TWO WORLDS – The Art & Life of Grant Wood
Join us on October 28
A pitchfork. A Victorian house. Two flat expressions that reveal next to nothing. Like da Vinci’s acclaimed Mona Lisa, much is left to the imagination when viewing Grant Wood’s world-famous painting, American Gothic. But his life speaks volumes.

Please join us for a VIP test screening. Admission is free.
Seating is strictly first-come, first-served.

A Q&A will follow with noted scholars featured in the film. Writer-Director Chip Duncan and producers Bob Huck and Stevie Ballard will be in attendance to hear your comments and criticisms. Your input will be important as the producing team enters post-production for this important new film slated for release in 2027 featuring one of Iowa’s greatest artists, Grant Wood.

The screening is sponsored by the James P. Hayes Foundation.

We acknowledge and thank other Grant Wood supporting organizations including the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, Figge Art Museum, Grant Wood Art Colony, Vaughan Institute of Risk Management and Insurance, University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and the University of Iowa Center for Advancement, along with Iowa Public Television and The Duncan Entertainment Group.
