About
The Research Convening is a full-day workshop for TC members and Research Fund grantees to promote online child safety. The event will feature an opening panel introducing the Tech Coalition Safe Online Research Fund and lightning talks by grantees sharing key outcomes and insights. Participants will engage in interactive working sessions to delve into research insights, gaps, and opportunities for collaboration in tackling digital harms to children. The workshop aims to enhance the visibility and applicability of the research and strengthen the wider ecosystem combating OCSEA.

Who should attend? 
All interested staff at TC member companies are welcomed to attend, with a particular call for individuals responsible for understanding research trends and implementation.

We encourage attendees with a technical/adjacent role to stay for Initiate.

Initiate is an annual hackathon and working session aimed at tangibly moving industry forward in its technical capacity to combat OCSEA. During the event, participants spend much of their time coding (if technical) or engaging in facilitated workshops (if non-technical). We'll also have opportunities for networking and hear lightning talks from peers across the industry.

Who should attend? 
Initiate is a hackathon at its core, and as such is open to all engineers, product managers, data scientists, and architects from member companies.

We will also have non-tech workshops for T&S operations, subject matter experts, and program managers to compliment the technical projects.
