Louis Latour Wine Dinner at GVINO Wine Bar
Join us on November 19
Join us at GVINO Wine Bar for a five-course dinner celebrating the wines of Maison Louis Latour, a historic name in Burgundy. Guided by French Wine Specialist Erwan Slove, we will explore five distinctive wines alongside a menu inspired by the French table.

MORE THAN TWO CENTURIES OF BURGUNDIAN HERITAGE
Founded in 1797, Maison Louis Latour remains independently owned and managed by its founding family. Its story is deeply rooted in Aloxe-Corton, at the foot of the celebrated hill of Corton, where generations of the Latour family have helped preserve Burgundy’s winemaking traditions.
The house brings together two complementary roles: growing wines from its own vineyards and working as a négociant-éleveur, sourcing wines and grapes to express the diversity of Burgundy. Across both, its guiding style emphasizes elegance, finesse, and a clear sense of origin.
That commitment extends to its craftsmanship. Louis Latour maintains its own cooperage, making French oak barrels used to mature its wines—a tangible connection between the vineyard, the cellar, and the finished bottle.

FIVE WINES, FIVE EXPRESSIONS OF BURGUNDY
The evening begins with two expressions of Chardonnay: the citrus freshness of Chablis and the generous texture of Montagny Premier Cru. We then turn to Pinot Noir, exploring Pommard, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru “Les Chaillots.”
Erwan will share the stories behind the wines and explain how place, winemaking, and vintage shape what we taste. It is an opportunity to discover Burgundy through the glass, whether you are beginning to explore the region or already collect its wines.

THE MENU & WINE PAIRINGS
FIRST COURSE · Huîtres à la Mignonette
Fresh oysters on the half shell with a delicate shallot and Champagne vinegar mignonette.
Louis Latour Chablis “La Chanfleure” 2025
A bright opening, with floral aromas, lemon and grapefruit notes, and a crisp mineral finish. The wine’s freshness complements the oysters’ natural salinity.
SECOND COURSE · Tartare de Thon
Hand-cut tuna with shallots, chives, Dijon mustard, and lemon zest, served with toasted brioche.
Louis Latour Montagny 1er Cru “La Grande Roche” 2023
From Burgundy’s Côte Chalonnaise, this Chardonnay offers fresh hazelnut and honeysuckle aromas, followed by white peach and almond notes. Its generous palate and fresh finish provide a lovely accompaniment to the tuna and brioche.
THIRD COURSE · Ravioles de Bœuf Braisé
Handmade short rib ravioli in a delicate wild mushroom consommé, finished with fresh thyme.
Louis Latour Pommard 2022
Ripe red fruit and cherry meet a round, fresh palate with elegant tannins. Paired with tender braised beef, mushrooms, and thyme, it introduces the savory richness of the evening’s red wines.
FOURTH COURSE · Confit de Canard
Crispy duck confit with pommes sarladaises—potatoes sautéed in duck fat with garlic and parsley—and thyme jus.
Louis Latour Gevrey-Chambertin
From the Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin brings a tradition of Pinot Noir with depth, body, and savory character. The rich duck confit offers a classic French setting in which to explore its structure and complexity.
FIFTH COURSE
Assorted Burgundian Cheese Selection
Louis Latour Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru “Les Chaillots”
We conclude in the Latour family’s home village. Named for its stony soils, “Les Chaillots” combines finesse with a powerful character—a fitting final pairing with our cheese selection.
