Community Field Day - Where Champions Are Made & Scholars Are Sent to Camp
May 16, 2026  ·  8:00am  ·  501 Wilson Ave. At the Citadel’s Wilson Field
Every gym that shows up. Every dollar raised. Every point scored. 15 scholars get to go to Camp MAD PARK.
WHY WE COMPETE
This is bigger than a field day.
Camp MAD PARK  is a 3-week summer experience where scholars move, explore, create, and grow - building wellness, confidence, and connection they carry for life.

The true cost of a full camp experience is $900 per scholar. MAD PARK UNITES exists to make sure that price tag is never the reason a child can’t go.

Gyms and community members compete head-to-head in a fun, high-energy field day - and every registration, every sponsor, every dollar raised sends a scholar to camp.
Our goal this year: fully fund 15 scholars for the complete 3-week Camp MAD PARK experience.
Local gyms form teams, compete, and help raise the most scholars - turning fitness community into social impact.
When a community moves together, children, move forward, Every sponsor, every team, every cheer matters.

THE COMPETITION
How the day works
Teams rotate through stations, earn points at every stop, and the top 4 gyms battle it out in the Final Showdown.
Athletes per gym team - exactly. Coed balance encouraged. Fair for all.
All gyms move station-to-station together, earning points at every challenge.
Top scoring gyms advance to the Final Showdown championship round.
Essential Games
Sack Race
5 teammates hop to the turnaround cone and come back, passing the sack in relay style. First team to finish wins the round.
Sponge race
Soak a sponge, sprint to the bucket, squeeze every drop. Team with the most water wins. No shortcuts - full squeeze required.
Obstacle course
Sprint, weave through cones, bunny-hop the agility ladder, army crawl under pool noodles - one teammate at a time.
Water Balloon race
Carry a water balloon balanced on your palm. Pop it or drop it, and you restart it with a new one.
Egg Race
Balance an egg on a spoon while sprinting. Drop it? Restart. One hand on the spoon. Focus beats speed here.
Water bucket race
Walk - no running - while carrying a full bucket with both hands. Spill the least, finish the course, win the points.
Middle Ground Challenges
One representative per gym. These keep energy high as teams close in on the Final 4 spots.
Plank Hold
1 person per team hold a plank. Last one standing wins bonus points for their gym.
Hula Hoop
1 person per team keeps the hoop moving. Hoop drops, you're out. Outlast the competition.
Squat Hold
Hold the squat position the longest. Pure grit and leg strength determine who earns the bonus.
The final showdown
Top 4 gyms by total points go head-to-head. Requires 5 men + 5 women per team. Two events. One champion. The crowd decides who wins the energy - the scoreboard decides who wins the title.
Points System
Every station counts
No one goes home empty-handed. Points at every station keep every team in the game until the very end.

Volunteer at mad park unites
You don't have to compete to make a difference. Every volunteer on the field helps this event run - and every volunteer helps send a scholar to camp. We need you from 8:00AM - 12:00PM on May 16th.
Guide teams through challenges and rotations. Keep energy high, enforce the rules, and record scores at your stations.
Welcome teams and supporters as they arrive. Handle athletes registration, waivers, and swag bag distribution.
Keep athletes fueled and hydrated throughout the morning. Manage water, snacks, and the matcha bar station.
Float where needed - assist with setup, teardown, transitions, and and keeping the event running smoothly from start to finish.
