🍫CHRISTMAS CHOCOLATE WORKSHOP🍫
Maison Monet will be hosting a Christmas chocolate workshop for students aged 7-15 years old. Each student chocolatier will create their own chocolate bombs, as well as pour and mold their own truffles. Each student chocolatier will take home a box full of their specialty creations to share with family. Working with chocolate is part culinary art and part science. Come join us for this sweet workshop from 8:30 - 1:30 ! $45

Maison Monet will be hosting a Sparkle Ball STEAM workshop for students aged 7-15 years old. Each student will create their own Sparkle Ball and assortment of holiday gift tags to take home. Come join us for this exciting workshop from 8:30 - 1:30 ! $45

🎅“Hygge” Scandinavian Specialties Workshop🎅
“Hygge” means “cozy” in Norwegian. Maison Monet will be hosting a cozy day-in to make some Scandinavian specialties and crafts with students aged 7-15 years old. Learn to make traditional Norwegian lefse and krumkake while also learning about the Julenissen and his many gifts. Each student baker will take home their own box of specialty creations and handmade ornament. Come join us for this cozy workshop from 8:30 - 1:30 ! $45

About Maison Monet:
Maison Monet is a unique children's day camp providing an artistic summer option for ages 7-12 in a French language environment, located in Mt. Vernon, WA just off I-5.
FUN SUMMER ACTIVITES:
Camp Director, Elli Gildnes provides a balanced educational program with a variety of fun hands-on activities. Part of the morning will center on French language acquisition - key vocabulary related to the weekly theme. Campers will practice this vocabulary throughout the afternoon in activities such as quality arts, drama, music, yoga & cooking.
Campers will have recreational time during outside activities and games. In addition, horseback riding (2x/week at Lang's Horse & Pony Farm) and swim lessons at the YMCA (4x/week) are scheduled. When possible, art takes place outside on the grounds or in the art chalet.
NO FRENCH NECESSARY:
The program at Maison Monet: French Art Camp allows campers to develop French language skills in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. French is spoken all day so that campers are immersed in the language, however English is used as needed. With only a 12 camper maximum per group, each camper receives the individual attention & support they need to learn French & have fun.
ABOUT THE CAMP DIRECTOR:
Elli Gildnes was raised in the Skagit Valley and spent 12 years as a teacher in Paris, France at The American School of Paris & also 3 years as an administrator at the French American School of Puget Sound in Mercer Island, WA. She has earned degrees in teaching, administration & curriculum design with a focus on dual language, arts integration and social emotional learning. She is currently utilizing her love of teaching & 25+ years experience in public & private education within the Sedro-Woolley school district located at the foothills of the beautiful Cascade Mountains.
